10 fresh jalapeños

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon (optional)

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs

Olive oil spray

Prep the Jalapeños: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Slice each jalapeño in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes for a milder kick, if desired.

    Make the Filling: In a medium bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, crumbled bacon (if using), garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.

      Fill the Jalapeños: Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeño half. Don't overfill; aim for a slight mound.

        Coat with Panko: Place the panko breadcrumbs in a shallow dish. Gently press the top of each filled jalapeño into the panko breadcrumbs to coat.

          Air Frying Time: Lightly spray the filled jalapeños with olive oil spray for extra crunch. Arrange them in a single layer in the air fryer basket (you may need to do this in batches depending on your air fryer size).

            Cook: Air fry the jalapeño poppers at 375°F (190°C) for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the panko is golden brown.
