Ingredients

1 pre-made pie crust (9-inch)

6 large eggs

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese

1/2 cup diced cooked bacon (about 4-5 slices)

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C) for about 5 minutes.

Prepare the Pie Crust: Place the pre-made pie crust into a 7-inch (or appropriate size for your air fryer) round cake pan. Gently press the crust into the pan and up the sides, trimming any excess.

Cook the Bacon and Onions: In a small skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent. Add the cooked bacon and sauté for an additional minute. Remove from heat and let cool.

Make the Egg Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, pepper, and nutmeg until well combined. Stir in the shredded Gruyère cheese, and then fold in the bacon and onion mixture.

Pour and Assemble: Carefully pour the egg mixture into the prepared pie crust, spreading it evenly.

Air Fry the Quiche: Place the pan in the preheated air fryer basket. Cook at 320°F (160°C) for 25-30 minutes, or until the quiche is set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Check for doneness at around 25 minutes as air fryer cooking times may vary.

Cool and Serve: Carefully remove the quiche from the air fryer and let it cool for about 10 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, slice it into wedges, and serve warm or at room temperature.
