Ingredients

4 large ripe bananas, sliced

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

½ cup brown sugar

1 cup rolled oats

½ cup all-purpose flour

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

½ cup chopped walnuts (optional)

¼ teaspoon salt

Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for serving (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Bananas: In a large mixing bowl, toss the sliced bananas with lemon juice and ground cinnamon. This will prevent the bananas from browning while adding flavor.

Layer the Bananas: Pour the banana mixture into a greased 9x9-inch baking dish, spreading it evenly across the bottom.

Make the Crumble Topping: In a separate bowl, combine rolled oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, melted butter, chopped walnuts (if using), and salt. Mix until the ingredients are well combined and crumbly in texture.

Assemble the Crumble: Evenly sprinkle the crumble topping over the layer of bananas in the baking dish.

Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the bananas are bubbly.

Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes. Serve warm, topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream if desired.
