Ingredients

1 loaf of Italian or French bread

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 cup cooked and crumbled bacon (about 8 slices)

1/2 cup ranch dressing

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

3 green onions, finely chopped

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Bread: Take the loaf of bread and make cuts in it. Slice the loaf diagonally into 1-inch squares without cutting all the way through, so the bottom remains intact.

Make the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix well to ensure everything is evenly combined.

Add Ranch Dressing: Drizzle ranch dressing over the cheese mixture and stir until all ingredients are coated.

Fill the Bread: Using your fingers or a spoon, carefully stuff the cheese and bacon mixture into the cuts of the bread, making sure to fill each one nicely.

Brush with Butter: Pour melted butter over the top of the stuffed bread, ensuring it seeps into the cuts. If you have any remaining cheese and bacon filling, sprinkle it on top.

Wrap in Foil: Wrap the stuffed loaf in aluminum foil; this helps steam the bread and makes it fluffy.

Bake: Place the wrapped bread in the preheated oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the bread is golden brown.

Serve: Carefully remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Pull apart the pieces to enjoy!
