Ingredients

4 medium-sized russet potatoes

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1 can (15 oz) chili (beef, turkey, or vegetarian)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup sour cream

¼ cup green onions, sliced

¼ cup pickled jalapeños (optional)

Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Potatoes:

    - Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

      - Wash and scrub the russet potatoes thoroughly. Cut them into even wedges or fries, leaving the skin on for added texture and flavor.

        Season the Fries:

          - In a large bowl, combine the potato wedges with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss well until all the fries are evenly coated.

            Bake the Fries:

              - Spread the seasoned potato wedges in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.

                Prepare the Chili:

                  - While the fries are baking, heat the chili in a saucepan over medium heat until warmed through. If using homemade chili, ensure it’s cooked thoroughly and seasoned to your liking.

                    Assemble the Bliss Fries:

                      - Once the fries are done baking, remove them from the oven. Transfer the crispy fries to a large serving platter or individual plates.

                        - Spoon generous portions of chili over the fries.

                          Cheese It Up:

                            - Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the chili. Return the loaded fries to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese melts and begins to bubble.

                              Garnish and Serve:

                                - Remove from the oven and add dollops of sour cream on top. Sprinkle with sliced green onions, pickled jalapeños, and fresh cilantro if desired.

                                  - Serve immediately and enjoy your Cheesy Chili Bliss Fries!
