Ingredients

1 ½ cups fresh spinach, chopped

1 cup cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

¼ cup sour cream

1 clove garlic, minced

½ teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

1 loaf of bread dough (store-bought or homemade)

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare Spinach Mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the chopped spinach, cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, sour cream, minced garlic, onion powder, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined and creamy. Set aside.

Prepare Bread Dough: If using store-bought bread dough, let it rise according to package instructions, usually about 30 minutes to 1 hour. If using homemade dough, prepare and let it rise until doubled in size.

Shape the Bread Ring: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough into a rectangle, about ¼ inch thick. Cut out a smaller circle in the center, leaving a larger ring (approximately 1-2 inches wide).

Fill the Bread Ring: Spoon the cheesy spinach mixture into the center of the dough ring, spreading it evenly but leaving some space at the edges.

Form the Ring: Carefully fold the edges of the dough over the filling, pinching to seal. This will give it a beautiful ring shape. You can crimp the edges with a fork for a decorative look.

Egg Wash: Brush the top of the bread ring with the beaten egg to give it a golden finish while baking.

Bake: Place the bread ring on a lined baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.

Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired. Serve warm with additional dipping options like breadsticks or tortilla chips.

Enjoy! Slice into individual servings and watch your guests enjoy this cheesy spin on a classic favorite!
