Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup packed light brown sugar

1/2 cup granulated sugar

3 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)

1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional, walnuts or pecans work great)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Prepare Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Whisk together until smooth and well combined.

Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!

Fold in Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the chocolate chips and nuts (if using) until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Spread in Pan: Pour the blondie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).

Cool and Cut: Allow the blondies to cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cool, cut into squares or bars.

Serve and Enjoy: Serve them warm or at room temperature. These blondies are perfect on their own or warmed slightly, served with a scoop of ice cream!
