Ingredients

2 large oranges

1 cup dark chocolate (70% cocoa or higher)

2 tablespoons coconut oil (optional, for smoother chocolate)

Sea salt flakes (for garnish)

Optional: crushed nuts (almonds or pistachios) for topping

Instructions

Prepare the Oranges: Start by thoroughly washing the oranges to remove any wax or residue. Slice the oranges into 1/4-inch thick rounds, removing any seeds you might encounter.

Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate and coconut oil (if using). Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until the mixture is completely melted and smooth.

Dip the Orange Slices: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Using a fork, dip each orange slice into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is well-coated on one side. Allow the excess chocolate to drip off.

Place on Parchment: Carefully place the chocolate-dipped orange slices on the prepared baking sheet, chocolate side up.

Add Toppings: While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over each slice. If desired, add crushed nuts on top for added texture and flavor.

Chill: Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is set and firm.

Serve: Once the chocolate is hardened, remove the slices from the refrigerator. Arrange them on a serving platter, and enjoy your delightful treat!
