Ingredients

12 oz bowtie pasta

1 lb ground beef

1 medium onion, finely chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup mushrooms, sliced (optional)

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup beef broth

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Sauté the Vegetables: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until softened. Add the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms (if using) and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the garlic is fragrant and mushrooms are tender.

Brown the Beef: Push the vegetables to the sides of the skillet and add the ground beef to the center. Cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Make the Sauce: Pour in the beef broth and stir to combine. Allow it to simmer for 3-4 minutes. Then, reduce the heat to low and add the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Combine: Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet, tossing gently to coat the pasta in the creamy beef sauce. Let it cook together for an additional 2 minutes, allowing the pasta to absorb some flavors.

Serve: Remove from heat and transfer to serving plates. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color and freshness.
