Crunchy Everything Bagel Chips

4 everything bagels

1/4 cup olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon sesame seeds

1 teaspoon poppy seeds

1/2 teaspoon flaky sea salt (or to taste)

1/2 teaspoon black pepper (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

    Slice the Bagels: Carefully slice each bagel into thin rounds, about 1/4 inch thick. For extra crunch, you can split each half into quarters after slicing.

      Prepare the Oil Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, sesame seeds, poppy seeds, flaky sea salt, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.

        Coat the Bagel Slices: Place the bagel slices in a large mixing bowl. Drizzle the oil mixture over the top, then use your hands to toss and coat the slices evenly, ensuring each piece is well covered.

          Arrange on Baking Sheet: Lay the coated bagel slices flat on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer. Avoid overlapping to ensure they crisp up nicely.

            Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the bagel chips are golden brown and very crispy. Keep an eye on them towards the end of the baking process to prevent burning.

              Cool: Once baked, remove from the oven and allow the bagel chips to cool on the baking sheet for about 10 minutes. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.

                Store: Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Enjoy your homemade crunchy everything bagel chips!
