Ingredients

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup granulated sugar

3/4 cup packed brown sugar

4 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup chopped peanuts (optional, for topping)

Sea salt flakes, for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners or spray them with non-stick cooking spray.

Make the Brownie Batter: In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and peanut butter, mixing until creamy. Gradually add granulated sugar and brown sugar, stirring until well combined.

Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and fluffy.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Incorporate Chocolate Chips: Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Fill the Muffin Tin: Spoon the brownie batter into the prepared muffin cups, filling each cup about 3/4 full. If desired, sprinkle chopped peanuts on top of each cup for an extra crunch.

Bake: Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not completely clean).

Cool Down: Once baked, remove the brownie cups from the oven and allow them to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then, transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Garnish and Serve: Once cooled, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt flakes on each brownie cup for that extra touch. Serve them warm or at room temperature, and enjoy your decadent treat!
