Ingredients

4 large round sourdough bread loaves

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

8 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

2 cups of your favorite dip (e.g., spinach artichoke, cheesy mushroom, or roasted red pepper)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Bread: Using a sharp knife, carefully cut off the top third of each sourdough loaf. Hollow out the insides, leaving about 1 inch of bread on the sides and bottom to create a bowl. Save the removed bread for another use, like croutons or breadcrumbs.

Make the Garlic Butter: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until well combined.

Brush the Bowls: Generously spread the garlic butter mixture inside the hollowed-out bread bowls and on the cut tops.

Bake the Bowls: Place the bread bowls (and their tops) on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and crispy.

Fill with Dip: Once the bread bowls are done baking, remove them from the oven. Fill each bowl generously with your chosen dip.

Serve Warm: Place the tops back on the bowls and serve immediately while the dip is warm and the garlic bread is crispy. Enjoy dipping and savoring each bite!
