Ingredients

4 tilapia fillets

1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (plus extra for garnish)

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 lemon (zested and juiced)

Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Baking Dish: Lightly grease a baking dish with cooking spray or a little olive oil to prevent sticking.

Make the Crust Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, panko breadcrumbs, melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, paprika, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and lemon zest. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly coated with butter.

Prepare the Fish: Place the tilapia fillets in the prepared baking dish. Pour the lemon juice over the fillets, ensuring they are evenly coated.

Apply the Crust: Generously spoon the garlic Parmesan mixture over each tilapia fillet, pressing down gently to adhere the crust.

Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork, and the crust is golden brown.

Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle additional fresh parsley over the top for garnish, and serve with lemon wedges on the side for an extra burst of flavor.
