Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1/2 cup buttermilk

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Maple Glaze:

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tbsp pure maple syrup

1-2 tbsp milk (as needed for consistency)

A pinch of sea salt

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan with cooking spray or butter.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.

Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the sugar, egg, buttermilk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures: Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.

Fill Donut Pan: Using a piping bag or a spoon, fill the greased donut pan cavities about 2/3 full with the batter.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool Donuts: Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Prepare Maple Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, maple syrup, and a pinch of sea salt. Add milk gradually until you reach your desired glaze consistency.

Glaze the Donuts: Once the donuts are completely cooled, dip the tops into the maple glaze. Allow excess glaze to drip off, and place the glazed donuts back on the wire rack to set.

Serve and Enjoy: Once the glaze has set, serve your Maple Glazed Cinnamon Donuts and enjoy a delightful treat!
