Ingredients

2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)

1/2 cup chicken broth

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Slider buns (12 count)

Optional toppings: coleslaw, pickles, sliced jalapeños, and crispy onions

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken: Place the boneless chicken breasts in the slow cooker. Season with salt and pepper.

Make the Sauce: In a medium bowl, combine the BBQ sauce, chicken broth, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Stir until well mixed.

Combine in Slow Cooker: Pour the BBQ sauce mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker, ensuring the chicken is well coated.

Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours. The chicken is done when it shreds easily with a fork.

Shred the Chicken: Once cooked, remove the chicken from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker, mixing it with the sauce.

Assemble the Sliders: Slice the slider buns in half. Spoon a generous amount of BBQ chicken onto the bottom half of each bun. Top with any optional toppings you desire, then place the top half of the bun on.

Serve and Enjoy: Serve the sliders immediately while warm, and enjoy your delicious, smoky sweet BBQ chicken!
