Ingredients

2 cups fresh or frozen edamame (in pods)

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon chili garlic sauce (adjust based on spice preference)

1 teaspoon rice vinegar

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

2 green onions, finely sliced (for garnish)

Salt, to taste

Instructions

Prepare the Edamame: If using frozen edamame, bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the edamame pods and cook for about 5-7 minutes until tender and bright green. Drain and set aside. If using fresh edamame, steam them until tender, about 4-6 minutes.

Sauté the Garlic: In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to let it burn.

Add Sauces: Stir in the soy sauce, chili garlic sauce, and rice vinegar. Mix well and let it simmer for another minute to blend the flavors.

Combine Edamame: Add the cooked edamame to the skillet, tossing to coat them evenly in the spicy garlic sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the edamame to absorb some of the flavors. Season with salt to taste.

Serve and Garnish: Once everything is well mixed and heated through, remove from heat. Transfer the spicy garlic edamame to a serving dish and sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.

Enjoy: Serve warm as an appetizer or snack, and enjoy the spicy, garlicky goodness!
