Ingredients

1 ½ cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

1 jalapeño pepper, sliced (adjust based on spice preference)

2 oz fresh lime juice (about 2 limes)

2 oz agave syrup

4 oz silver tequila

2 oz orange liqueur (like Cointreau or Triple Sec)

Ice cubes

Fresh lime slices and additional strawberry slices for garnish

Coarse sea salt, for rimming glasses (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Glasses: If desired, rim your margarita glasses with lime juice and dip them in coarse sea salt to coat the edges. Set aside.

Blend the Strawberries and Jalapeño: In a blender, combine the fresh strawberries and jalapeño slices. Blend until smooth and set aside. If you prefer a spicier drink, leave some of the jalapeño seeds in the mixture.

Combine the Ingredients: In a shaker, add the strawberry-jalapeño puree, lime juice, agave syrup, tequila, and orange liqueur. Fill the shaker with ice, cover it tightly, and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds to chill the mixture.

Strain and Serve: Fill the prepared margarita glasses with ice. Strain the margarita mix into the glasses, dividing evenly among them.

Garnish: Add a lime slice and a strawberry slice to each glass for garnish. If you want an extra kick, float a thin jalapeño slice on top of each margarita.

Enjoy: Serve immediately and enjoy the refreshing, sweet, and spicy flavors of your Strawberry Jalapeño Margarita!
