Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup vanilla protein powder

1/4 cup coconut sugar (or brown sugar)

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 tbsp melted coconut oil (or butter)

For coating:

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp cinnamon

Optional: Chocolate sauce or caramel for drizzling

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a donut pan with coconut oil or non-stick spray.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, vanilla protein powder, coconut sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Whisk together until thoroughly combined.

Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together almond milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted coconut oil until smooth and well blended.

Combine Mixtures: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined; be careful not to overmix. The batter should be slightly thick but pourable.

Fill the Pan: Carefully spoon the donut batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full to allow for rising.

Bake: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Cool and Coat: Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack. While they cool, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl.

Coat the Donuts: Once the donuts are cooled slightly, while they are still warm, toss each one in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated.

Serve: Drizzle with chocolate sauce or caramel if desired. Enjoy your Sweet Churro Protein Donuts warm or at room temperature!
